OUR STORY

INHUMANE was born from Aaron Jenkins’ search for peace within chaos — a response to pain, rebellion, and the desire to heal through creation. Blending craftsmanship with philosophy, the label transforms fashion into medicine — garments designed with purpose, emotion, and quiet defiance. Aaron Jenkins’ rise reflects a new generation of designers who merge storytelling, intention, and raw humanity into contemporary streetwear built to protect the soul as much as the body.

Tracing the evolution of INHUMANE — from a single sewing machine in 2021 to a growing creative force bridging craftsmanship, culture, and community.

THE BEGINNING

Discovered sewing and became obsessed with mastering the craft. No brand yet, just pure dedication to learning, experimenting, and creating by hand.

THE FOUNDATION

Officially established INHUMANE. Built a home studio in his dad’s basement in Indiana and began shaping the vision for what would become the brand’s identity.

THE MOVE

Relocated from Indiana to San Francisco. Helped build out Holy Stitch’s new space at 100 California Street; the first retail location in SF to carry INHUMANE.

THE UNFOLDING

Continuing his education, growing industry connections, and developing a stronger portfolio. INHUMANE is evolving from in-person experiences toward a global e-commerce community as well.
